SIDE EFFECTS OF JANUVIA

In clinical studies, Janavia is not associated with weight gain from baseline, and the incidence of hypoglycemia was similar to that of placebo. The most common side effects reported with Januvia were stuffy or runny nose, sore throat; headache; diarrhea; and joint pains. The main goal of treating diabetes is to lower your blood sugar level to a normal level. Lowering and controlling blood sugar may help to prevent or delay complications of diabetes, such as kidney disease, heart disease, blindness, and amputation. Januvia has not been studied with medicines known to cause low blood sugar, such as insulin or sulfonylureas. You must inform you doctor if you are taking a sulfonylurea or other medication that can cause low blood sugar.
